I’m Lisa, a Functional Nutritionist with a background in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
I graduated from Colorado State University in 2003 with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I intended to get a masters in nutrition at that time but took a detour and had kids instead! I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 18 years while raising my kids. When my kids were older I finally went back to my original passion for nutrition and human health.
I became a certified Functional Nutrition Counselor through the Functional Nutrition Alliance, one of the top educators in Functional Nutrition.
Functional nutrition is the health approach where instead of masking symptoms with a pharmaceutical drug, the root cause of that symptom is identified and addressed.
The root cause could be vitamin or mineral deficiency, it could be stress, a poor digestive lining, low stomach acid, over-taxed liver, gut disbiosis, metal toxicity, mold, or inflammation.
I want to help you restore your body to a state where it is supported to heal itself, because that’s what our bodies where designed to do!
